Boosting the Dutch Youth Regatta: Sailing Clubs and Class Organizations come together to support and grow the event.
On February 7, several sailing clubs and the board members of Optimist Class Netherlands Dutch High-Performance Sailing and NedILCA came together to give the Dutch Youth Regatta (DYR) a boost.
On the initiative of KR&ZV de Maas, the class board members of the three largest youth classes and representatives of the KWVL, KNZ&RV and WV Braassemermeer came together. The board of the Royal Netherlands Watersports Association also participated.
The participants discussed the current situation and put forward ideas for the future. They expressed their commitment to the Dutch Youth Regatta organization. By pledging this support and assistance, there is a broad basis to organize the DYR successfully in the coming years. All parties involved will use the coming period to develop the ideas further and recruit new volunteers and sponsors.
The Board of the DYR is pleased with this initiative and believes that with the support of the sailing clubs KR&ZV De Maas, KWVL, KNZ&RV and WV Braassemermeer, the Royal Netherlands Watersports Association and the class organizations, it has a good foundation for the future and looks forward to jointly allowing the DYR to grow again.
