Dutch Youth Regatta moves to a new location in 2026
The Dutch Youth Regatta is pleased to announce that the 2026 edition will take place at a new venue: Bruinisse, situated on the Grevelingen in Zeeland. After a year at Roompot, where we were warmly welcomed, we concluded that the conditions there did not fully match what we aim to offer our sailors in the long term. Remaining in Zeeland was an important priority for us, and Bruinisse provides an excellent setting for the next editions of the event.
The Grevelingen offers non-tidal, flat water, highly suitable for consistent and high-quality youth racing. The marina and surrounding facilities in Bruinisse provide a strong foundation for the event, including a dedicated beach area where we will set up the event village and boat park. With a wide availability of nearby accommodation, we expect this location to be both practical and enjoyable for sailors, teams and families.
The Dutch Youth Regatta is once again part of the Dutch Race Week, which will take place from 9 to 17 May 2026. United4Sailing will be held on 9 and 10 May, and the Dutch Youth Regatta will take place on 14, 15, 16 and 17 May. The days between both events will be fully available for teams that wish to train on site, offering a valuable opportunity to combine training and racing within one extended period.
We received the final confirmation for this move only this morning, and preparations for the 2026 edition are already underway. In the coming period we will share extensive information about the new venue, logistics, training possibilities, facilities and all relevant event details.
Please stay tuned. More updates will follow soon and at a rapid pace.
