Don’t forget your Tally Tag!
Important for all sailors
At the Dutch Youth Regatta, safety and efficiency go hand in hand. That’s why we continue to use the Tally Tag system, a smart and simple way to manage sailor check-in and check-out on the water.
With your personal Tally Tag, there is no need for coaches to report to the Regatta Office at the start and end of the day. Instead, our volunteers at the slipway will scan each sailor when leaving and returning. Quick, clear, and hassle-free.
Why this matters
Carrying your Tally Tag at all times while afloat is mandatory.
It allows the organization to ensure that every sailor is accounted for before and after racing — a crucial part of keeping everyone safe on the water. No tag = not allowed to go afloat.
How it works
• Get scanned before heading out in the morning
• Get scanned again as soon as you return
• Always carry your tag while on the water
This simple system helps us maintain a safe and well-organized event for all participants.
Pick up (or reuse) your tag
You can collect your Tally Tag free of charge at the Race Office and have it registered to your name right away.
Make sure to use your tag when you check in during registration on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.
Already have a Tally Tag from a previous Dutch Youth Regatta or a United4 event?
👉 Bring it with you and use it again this year! No need to get a new one.
Once you have your tag, it’s yours to keep — simply attach it to your buoyancy aid (next to your whistle!) and you’re ready to go.
One system, used worldwide
The Tally Tag system is part of Manage2Sail and is used at many international events — including the Dutch Youth Regatta, United4 events, and regattas such as Kieler Woche.
Working together for safety
This system only works if everyone participates. By scanning in and out every day, you help us keep the event safe, efficient, and enjoyable for everyone on the water.
Let’s work together to keep everyone safe 💙
