January 2015

Hi young Sailors,

We are looking forward seeing you all at the DUTCH YOUTH REGATTA 2015!
From 14 - 17 May 2015 the Open Dutch Championships will be sailed.

Classes in the DYR 2015:

Optimist (incl. Optimist Benjamin)   Cadet
Laser Standard Under-21  29er (incl. 29er Under-19)
Laser Radial Under-21  RS Feva Youth - New!
Laser 4.7 Youth  Techno 293 Under-19
Splash  RS:X Youth

This year the 420 class will no longer participate in the event, but we welcome the RS FEVA Youth.
We wish them success in this great international youth championship event.

We have also changed the Race Format for the Optimist, Splash en 29er classes. For the Optimist class, after 3 days sailing the Qualifying series, fleets will be divided into Gold, Silver, Bronze etc final series. For the Splash and/or 29er fleets, the Regatta may consist of qualifying series and final series if it is decided to split the fleet in two starting groups based on the number of registered boats.

Optimist and Optimist Benjamin will sail together. However, separate final results for the Optimist and Benjamin are published and there will be a Open National Championship final result for the Optimist and the Optimist Benjamin.
In the 29er class, the 29er and 29er Under-19 will sail together, but there will only be the title Open Dutch Champion for the 29er Under-19, based on separate final results.
The full Race Format can be found in the NOR.

The Notice of Race version 3.1 is available on the website.

The "on line" entry will be closed on Saturday 9 May 24.00 hrs. After that moment there is the possibility for "late entry" with additional fee (see NOR).

The organization is well on its way, we have contacted experienced race committees and there will be an international Jury. A special team is formed to organize a smooth publication of the results.
We are all looking forward to great races in a friendly and sportive atmosphere.

The DYR 2015 will be organized, as previous DYRs, on the premises of camping It Soal, Workum.
Information about accommodation (a.o. camping) can be found on the website (button Location).

Please follow DYR 2015 on Twitter and Facebook. Check frequently the website for updates.

We look forward meeting you all at the DYR 2015, It Soal, Workum, The Netherlands.
