🚑 “First Aid for Sailors” Workshop with Rob Sijbers! ⛵
We’re excited to welcome Rob Sijbers, a doctor and experienced sailor, who will be hosting a practical “First Aid for sailors” workshop on Sunday, May 25th at 11:00 AM in the DYR tent!
This workshop is perfect for parents, guardians, trainers, coaches and especially rescue personnel. Rob will cover essential first aid techniques tailored for the sailing environment. Whether it’s handling cuts and scrapes, bruises, the infamous boom-to-the-head situation, or more serious concerns like hypothermia, exhaustion, or dehydration, Rob will teach you how to manage these common injuries and keep your sailors safe. 🩹⚓
Not on the water and interested? You’re more than welcome to join us in the main tent at the Dutch Race Week venue! This session is completely free and packed with useful knowledge that could help you assist a sailor in need of treatment.
