Competitors from abroad can’t compete in the DYR 2021

The Dutch Youth Regatta on May 13th-16th 2021 is coming with an official notice to those competitors that do not live in The Netherlands and are bound by the rules of our government regarding travelling from abroad to the race venue. These competitors will not be invited to the event and therefore can’t compete in it.

It is with great regret that we had to take this measure in light of the rules that were put in place due to the severe COVID-19 infection situation in our country.

We have received large interest from all over Europe for our event and we hope to welcome you next year or in our other events of the United 4 series, starting in September this year.

It is to this date unclear if the event itself needs to be canceled for Dutch sailors as well, as the permit from the government is still pending. The chances are slim though that we can hold the event. The official notice can be found on our website www.dutchyouthregatta.org
